The Okkola farmwife’s pie workshop is where you can learn to make traditional Karelian pasties with the lovely hostess of the house, Paula. Visitors to the pie workshop will also experience a genuine Finnish country home. At Paula´s idyllic house, visitors will learn about rural entrepreneurship, local flavours and genuine Savo-Karelian hospitality. The price also includes tea, coffee and house-made juice to go with the pastries. The worskhop ends with a pastry-tasting around Okkola´s family table. Naturally you can take all the leftover pastries when you leave.
