The Moisio Hospital Museum is situated in the Moisio Hospital, the classical building designed by architect Axel Mörne. The hospital is located approximately 6 kilometers from downtown Mikkeli. The museum has the former living and social quarters of the hospital’s kitchen stuff at its disposal. The Hospital Museum is owned and run by the Hospital District of Southern Savo. The hospital’s former employees volunteer to work at the museum and give guided tours. The Museum was opened on the 60th anniversary of Moisio Hospital in 1987.
