The museum is located in an old granary in the centre of Haukivuori. The museum was opened to the public in 1962. The exhibitions peek into the lives of the locals, concentrating on the different occupations and equipment, such as agriculture and fishery. There’s also an exhibition about life’s little pleasures, telling stories about coffee making and tobacco farming.
Windmill built in 1905 is also on view on the museum’s yard.
Entrance fee 2€/adults, children for free.
