These tours are operated by a fast open motor boat. Puumala is located in the heart of lake Saimaa, in one of the best Saimaa seal areas. It is a great experience to take a boat cruise to the beautifull archipelago of Puumala, and go looking for seals. The best time spotting seals is early summer. After mid June the motor boat tours to Seal archipelago is a good alternative, as the fast motorboat enables a quick visit to the lake.
